  1. Enjoyable afternoon at the Cherry Red, which is a tidy little set up and would have perhaps been the perfect base for the Broncos when they had a more competitive side. In any case, with a direct train to St Pancras it is very handy for northerners travelling by public transport via King's Cross or Euston. The game was a bit of a cakewalk, sadly, and London will have some long days this season. As FBTW says above, great to see a number of younger/squad players getting some minutes and looking the part. I felt sorry for Ratchford as he was landing all sorts of awkward kicks and then clearly overthought the (relatively simple) kick that would have broken the record.
  2. Gil Dudson to Salford on loan for the rest of the season. I thought he might be a decent addition when we signed him. I was wrong.
  3. I just asked around at Brighouse Station and nobody had a strong view on the spoilers at all.
  4. While I sympathise, it's pretty obvious they're doing it deliberately to lessen the appeal of watching the games on demand on other platforms, they're not going to change it. It was (is?) one of Sky's own slogans. https://lbbonline.com/news/sky-sports-campaign-highlights-the-importance-of-sport-being-only-live-once/
  5. A reminder that the BBC aren't even bothering to televise a game from this round.
  6. It seemed to take Salford 10-15 minutes to work out how to damage Saints when they were down to 12. Instead of the low percentage crash balls in traffic they started the second half with, the whole attacking line stepped back 5-10m (almost in an old fashioned way) and they were able to stretch the defence every which way. By the last 10 minutes the Saints forwards legs had completely gone to jelly.
  7. I had forgotten that an obstruction made smashing someone in the head fair game.
  8. Salford's game seems to be based on miracle passes, which seems a bit odd even when they land one because their wingers are both slow.
  9. That was an insane decision. This ref has sent a Saints player off (rightly) and is now having a massive panic.
