  1. Way down the pecking order at the Giants... would be a really good loan signing for us!! I would really like to see Bailey O'Connor at 6 and ... if we can get him.. Rush at 7! ... Callum Turner back to 1 and Owen Restall on the wing.
  2. Will Ronan Dixon be able to use it for his ban?
  3. I'd also be very happy with him!! You would think Fergies Fev connection could give us an advantage!!
  4. We can but hope!! I also note Eddie Battye is out of contract, but I guess he will go back to Sheffield.
  5. It says on the Rams website ... first new signing tonight? ... I'll have a guess Matty Wildie!!
  6. Not much wrong with that Jimmy Beckett.. is a leader!! a prop that can do 80 mins... leading from the front... and has a bit of attitude and self awareness!! .. gets my vote!
  7. On the other side... If Fev had gone up I was expecting Fergie to use his contacts to secure the services of some of the Fev players who either couldn't or wouldn't go full time!! We need a hooker and a half back ... thought Wildie and Chisholm might have been contenders.
  8. If you would like to start a factual squad info thread... I will pin it and ensure it stays on thread!
  9. Paul Sykes!!! ... another year or what?? I think he is the best tackler in the game and whilst his pace is not what it was his game management and understanding could still be a great asset ... What do you all think? For me I would like to see him another season, maybe playing loose forward... like they used to do in the good old days!!
  10. You underestimate the power of high quality marketing!! ... But its hypothetical as no-one would be brave enough!!
  11. So Hunslet missed Lawford more than Crusaders missed Hayes. Will Warrington release him to play in the final?
  12. The problem is sport is a business... but fans are too emotionally connected. Business sense if RL was a retail business rationalisation would have happened years ago!! There just aren't enough customers (fans) to support the number of outlets!! If a shop is unprofitable .. it closes and its business is shared between other local shops and by doing that makes the other shops more profitable!! ... The solution is to consolidate... and evaluate the catchment areas to ensure there are enough customers ( fans) to sustain the business! It would probably see Dews Batley and Wakey as one team!! I know it cuts against the grain but in time we would accept it and there would be enough customers (fans) to ensure the club was viable and had a future!! Is anyone brave enough??
