Put a good squad together with a board/committee who care about the community and the club, George Elliott, former York City Knight Rugby Football League Club player and a local lad (I know how you like your local lads Shades) is the coach there and it sounds like he is really putting a good effort in to the club. Also it is quite a nice thing to do considering that they let York City Knights Rugby Football League Club Ltd. play at the ground last season, would be nice to put a bit of money back into them and without stealing your catchphrase Mr. Shades - 'support the lads'.

Agree 100% - and we put plenty of money behind the Heworth bar last season, think we should support all our local clubs when possible including Acorn, Heworth, All Blacks etc

Fully agree about supporting all the amateur clubs too, bottom line is they are run and nurtured by people who aren't complete tools and genuinely care about the game, it's players, fans & sponsors.

Sorry not to mention by name, but you were definitely in the etc

It's okay, we are used to being an afterthought / unknown.

Also congratulations to 'the corn' it is brilliant news they are through to the next round hopefully they can continue and eventually get a nice draw against a pro club. Wouldn't it be great if they drew the Knights.

Decent game in difficult conditions on a day when it would have blown dogs inside out !

Don't think anyone would pretend Rovers are the side they were a few years ago but the 'Corn did a handy job on them.

Some good performances individually too, Tim Stubbs ( despite his harsh yellow ), Joe Porter, Tom Hill, Ryan Gallacher and Josh Thompson.

Just need a tidy draw for the next round.
