Round 23 Predictions

Oldham v Workington

A win for Oldham will mean that Workington will have to achieve four more victories than us in the 8s; the fat lady will be clearing her throat for the call.  A win for Workington means they will remain within touching distance of the pack.  That man Sammut will be at the forefront of a lot of his team's plays.  If we deal with him adequately we'll be fine.

Oldham win

Featherstone v Bradford

A packed Big Fellas stadium with both sets of fans on tenterhooks.  Whoever wins go through to the middle eights.  I think Bradford will win but it could go down to the final few minutes.

Bradford win

Whitehaven v Sheffield

Sheffield seem to have found some form and will need these two points to steer clear of the drop zone.  Whitehaven are in the same position so again this could be close.  Sheffield to win for me but not by many.

Sheffield win

Halifax v London Broncos

London with nothing to play for, Fax needing to win and hope that Swinton can do the double over Batley.  I think Fax will win but it'll be a hollow victory since I don't think the result will go in their favour over in Sale.

Halifax win

Swinton v Batley

If Batley overcome the Lions they'll qualify for the middle 8s.  Swinton need the points in the relegation battle but I think the Batley momentum will win them the game.  Their fans will go mental!

Batley win

Leigh v Dewsbury

Leigh must have one eye on the middle 8s and that could help Dewsbury.  If Leigh want to play they'll win but a half-hearted performance could see them beaten.  I don't think that'll happen though.

Leigh win
