  1. You can have a draw in a group game of a cup. Just see the champions league groups in football for something similar.
  2. Barrow draw with Haven, Haven beat Town and Barrow and Haven go though assuming there are no draws in the other groups. Simples…
  3. James, I have not been able to find out Mo's weight online either. In relation to the "joking" on the other thread about eye colour, etc. was all a bit of a ###### take and not directed at you. BTW for me I don't care how much Mo weighs, what I want to know is how will put him self into each tackle, how he will carry the ball and can he offload safely. We have had plenty of players in the past that have the size and weight, but have never been able to apply that to their game and we have had other players that have been what you might call on the small side that have out performed players that are bigger. A player's heart is much more important in my opinion.
  4. given that she (big assumption) only has only 4 posts all "gloating" on the Fev site on our demise after the loss to London, I'll guess at a Bradford fan.
  5. I don't think that is much of an issue, given there are 7 groups of 3 teams which will be ceded, which will mean that generally 1 L1 club and 2 Championship clubs in each group. Then given the statement "...with League One clubs awarded home advantage in any fixtures against Championship opposition..." implies each team will play each other once rather than home and away. Therefore the championship sides only have a 50/50 chance of a single home game in the group stage (when they play the other championship side). This as I understand it is to increase revenues for the L1 sides whether games like Midlands v Whitehaven/Fev/Swindon/whoever will be much of a draw for the L1 side is a different question.
  6. I wish people would read things, Fev's board take on it is an interesting read, the statement can be found here: http://bit.ly/3s8tOld Our board's take on it and why we voted against the IMG grading proposal was that a "B" grade team winning the championship should be able to replace the lowest "B" rated team in SL. I.e. that the promotion and relegation part from SL should be based on the pitch not whether you as a club have fancy advertising boards and the next club hasn't, etc.
  7. Bob is right though as a "B" grade you have scored more than 8.00 IMG points and less that 15.00 IMG points. Only RAMifications is that you have to have a "B" grade to be in SL and must be one of top 12 IMG points scorers. So Dewsbury have to miss out on SL. The Fev's board take on it is an interesting read, the statement can be found here: http://bit.ly/3s8tOld
  8. In my opinion, a great statement from the club on the grading process and direction of rugby league in general as well.
  9. Well they virtually did at the end of the 1994/5 when Widnes, Wakefield, Salford and Featherstone where relegated from what originally where none relegation spots 14 up to 11th respectfully. Not forgetting that Keighley and (IIRC) Batley being deigned promotion to the top league. This to me looks like the best solution.
  10. why not the games are a year apart? 1st Oct 2022 and 24th Sept 2023.
  11. I though when relegated the current contracts were null and void to protect the team being relegated having to fulfil contracts they can't meet.
  12. I do wish people would read/understand the IMG scoring system, though unlikely on so many levels, even if Fev win promotion to SL this year and finish top of SL in 2024 we can still be demoted out of SL in 2025 under the IMG grading system. Under the IMG criteria of “performance” over the three years 2022, 2023 and 2024 we have managed 14th (2022) or 15th (depending on if the playoffs count), 13th (2023) assuming we win the GF and if we finish 11th in SL in 2024 11th an average placing of 13th/14th still probably scoring less points than Wakey & Toulouse. And that is before you look at the other criteria. Certainly no guarantee of a SL place in 2025.
