Luke Burgess signs for....

Recommended Posts

Luke Burgess sounds like a solid signing.

As for Feleti, it depends on how well and how quickly they integrate his style into the Salford structures.

And the big press call to the LSV on deadline day to announce the big signing,......................... doesn't happen!

Both good signings I think. Luke Burgess is much underrated in my opinion, Like all the Burgess boys he has poor ball control but on the plus side of things he hits it up hard and is solid in defence so should be good for Salford.

So you wouldn't play him at stand off or scrum half :)

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

On the games I have seen Luke Burgess play this season he has been really good, the reason he hasn't played much NRL is

because Manly were trying to force him out, which they have eventually done.

Luke Burgess is NRL 25 man squad level player who gets a couple of game a year due to injury or suspension or a run off the bench when opposition suits his style of play! Feleti Mateo is a dangerous attacking player as often for the team he is playing as team he is playing against.

These are definite Salford signings its like deja vu - a journeyman brother of a star player and an erratic individually brilliant Polynesian player who is so individual and erratic the benefit to the team is negligible.

His mum is english...does that count for anything with the quota??

There are two lists so it will take him off the quota but won't take him of the non federation trained list. Now whether him being here previously with London will I'm not sure.
