New Initiative For Midlands Junior League Launched

Recommended Posts

Great work from the Midlands RL . Playing rugby in far away places is a very positive thing for players/coaches etc . Hopefully in the future more effort will be directed towards this section of rugby league .

There's a lot of damage to be repaired from where we were 5 years ago. If the two guys involved can't do it, nobody can.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Out of genuine interest, will the better players in the midlands all be told that if they want a genuine future in rugby league they will have to join one chosen team by the RFL (Only asking because in my opinion having several teams of an even standard is far better than having one team of quality)

Good luck Dave and the rest of the development team, (Get Tim on board as well, great bloke with a lot to offer)

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Development Days have been running throughout the season. U13s Merit League is coming along slowly. Baby steps but important ones.

The clubs previously had 8 Community Coaches who stimulated interest and activity in schools which cant be replcated to the same scale, so its baby steps but positive steps for now.

It's a shame the RFL pulled the plug on development officers, could you imagine how many more players and clubs would have been around today, good work Dave.
