Latest on Friday teams:

From Brisbane:

Broncos: Corey Oates has been promoted to start on the wing, with coach Wayne Bennett looking to counter Canterbury’s size. Lachlan Maranta will relegated to the bench or drop out of the 17 altogether. Alex Glenn (virus) and Ben Hunt (calf strain) have been cleared.

Bulldogs: Greg Eastwood was found guilty at the judiciary on Wednesday night and will miss the game, with Lloyd Perrett to come into the 17. Curtis Rona (knee), Aiden Tolman (hamstring) and Frank Pritchard (ribs) have been cleared after missing last week. David Klemmer (birth of child) missed training early in the week, but is a certain starter.

From Manly:

Sea Eagles: Expected to be unchanged. Steve Matai (concussion) will play after missing last week. Brett Stewart (hamstring) is also right to go after being taken from the field as a precaution last week. Tom Trbojevic has been named in Holden Cup.

Rabbitohs: All attention is on whether the Rabbitohs allow Kyle Turner (concussion) to play, despite a sickening head knock. Chris Grevsmuhl (ribs) is also battling an injury. 18th man Jason Clark and/or recruit Paul Carter are the likely inclusions. Ben Lowe was forced into retirement this week due to ongoing injuries, including a bicep issue picked up two weeks ago. Kirisome Auva’a will be available for NRL selection next week after serving a ban for domestic violence convictions.

We've got the Souths game first here.

I think it was Andrew Johns who won the First Foot in Mouth of the 2015 Indigenous Round by referring to Dylan Walker as indigenous. Walker is descended from Pitcairners. What's a Pitcairner? A descendant of the mutineers from the mutiny on the Bounty.

Priceless trivia.
