Saturday's How are they for you?

With the season at the half way point how are Saturday's working out?

Are the attendances holding up? There doesn't seem to be any great increase but I do I understand that the revenue from the Raiders bar would be better on Saturdays than on Sunday's.

As it happens Saturday's are probably better for me, With the Bears playing Sunday's I can often make the Saturday night if I drive up and back, the trouble is once I used to do it without stopping. Now I need to pull in and take a little nap. I can't have a drink after the game either and it's Midnight before I get home. The other week I came up on the train and stopped over, then got the train to York on Sunday and travelled home on the Bears team bus. That worked fine.

I was talking to Greg from Bristol and I know he much prefers Saturday as Bristol to Barrow on Sunday is almost impossible on public transport.

So are Saturday's better than Sunday for you?

No good to me really, because i work most Saturdays. If it's working for The Club then fine, stick to Saturdays. I knew the situation as soon as The Raiders decided to play Saturday Evenings and, at first, was quite disappointed knowing i would miss 75% of home games. I can honestly say it hasn't bothered me that much. After 30 odd years of supporting them on a reasonably regular basis, i think i must be getting to the point where i can either take it or leave it.

.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it!

Good for me, attendances seem ok 800 against Gloucester but I don't think they brought manay sans, Newcastle brought a few and 900 but we need a team to bring a few, like Keighley, to beat 1,000.

Doesn't seem to make much difference Saturday or Sunday to crowd but if the club wins at the bar then it's ok.

Imagine being mere tenants at another persons ground and having them take the money, you've got to feel sorry for clubs like Widnes, Wigan and Hull FC who only rent!

I have always preferred Saturday evenings mesell.

There's rockall on the telly (well any night, to be fair) so no competition there.

Balmy summer evenings watching the sun go down.

Would rather kickoff were 18.00hrs if I was picky, though I understand the need to accommodate our VSEL brethren and all that.

A few bevvies in the bar.

The team's winning.

What more could we want?

Keep it going lads.

I prefer Sunday afternoons myself and have missed a few games this year because they were on a Saturday, my son who did attend every home game can now only make away games because he works in a bar on Saturday evenings.

The bar receipts will certainly of increased but is that more down to the MOM and the speeches being in the bar afterwards or it being on a Saturday, how did the game on the 7th June do in the bar?

Anyway 3rd in the table and reasonable attendances so good so far.

Saturdays are much better for me, have three young lad's in mini rugby teams so Saturday evening no rushing around like I would be on a Sunday. Plus no work following day so chance for a few more beers after game.
