  1. Last week I watched all the episodes of Line of Duty/ 30 hours in total, absolutely brilliant watching. Then started on Tiger King, gave up after 1 hour, they were all typical American fruitcakes, could not stand another minute of that garbage. However, plenty of people seem to like it, my son quite enjoyed it, I actually thought he had more intelligence than that.
  2. Irish, Eric Batten played for Northern from 1943 until 1951 including playing in all three Cup Finals. 1947,48 and 49.He actually played over 200 games for the Northern .In those years Bradford had a stranglehold over Leeds winning almost at will against them.
  3. Steam pig, You are correct,it was Eric Batten, one of the renowned Batten family . Billy Batten, Billy Batten Jnr, Eric Batten and Ray Batten .Ray still living in York I believe.
  4. Colly, Apologies, my post should have read information on Jim Jolley not Colley.
  5. Some information on Jim Colley. 1908/09 Runcorn R.L.F.C 3 England caps, 1 Wales 1908, 2 Australia 1909.3 G.B. caps 1908 all against N.Z. Then became Leigh,s Ist Coach. Played for Warrington 1919/20 40 games 3 tries 5 goals. He was one of only 18 players who dropped a goal for G.B. Hope that helps Colly
  6. All Blacks to All Golds book by John Haynes published by League Publications tells you all you need to know,re Baskiville. This is the name on his birth certificate and death certificate but he chose to be called Baskerville on certain occasions, who knows why.Certainly worth a read.I assume it is still available,I have a republished version from 2007 but it was originally published in N.Z. in 1996 by Ryan and Haynes.
