  1. Yeah he's going to say that though isn't he
  2. Free SuperLeague+ works without a VPN overseas, or at least in the EU, if anyone's interested.
  3. I like Jon Wells but it's a bit too obvious he's desperate for his team to win.
  4. Whilst the current state of the international calendar isn't great there's no need to repeat union propaganda on here. The Roosters forced the union types to pay well over the odds but they were desperate to avoid another loss to the NRL so paid up. What the stated reasons were in their press releases are as useful as Martin Gleeson saying how pleased he was to leave St Helens for Warrington back in the day.
  5. Is it? didn't think it was that hard a couple fo weeks ago For Leeds. The derby game is an entirely different prospect to one vs a random other side.
  6. If that's right and the first fish and chip shop was in London what has happened so that they nowadays simply don't appear to know how to cook it properly?
  7. A historically very difficult game for Leeds regardless of how the two teams are performing leading up to it. However coming off two defeats should hopefully mean Leeds aren't caught napping, but Wheldon Road is a fiendishly difficult place to get a result.
  8. Deary me John, I think you might be living in a lala land where print readership is what still matters. In the real world where most people get their news online The Guardian is the UK's fifth most visited news brand with an audience of more than 21 million and a reach of over 40%. Miles ahead of The Times and the embarrassment that the Telegraph has now become.
  9. Because IMG's involvement is with professional Rugby League as a whole not just with Super League. Batley and the other Championship clubs fall within their remit and most of what we've seen so far suggests that IMG don't really care much about what happens to clubs like them.
  10. Don't think Pearson has the financial muscle to compete. Teams can probably compete if they don't have a stadium of their own to exploit or if they don't have a backer willing to put millions in. But not having either puts Hull in a tricky spot. All of which is compounded by issues with signing the wrong players, injuries and whatever cultural issues they still have.
  11. Firstly... what??? Have you got your tv set to black and white? Secondly - "these days"
  12. Retro round has been repeatedly proposed and Super League have specifically rejected it. I can't even begin to think of the logic behind that as I'm sure it would be a very big success.
  13. The Silk Cut sponsorship was hugely lucrative and the banning of that revenue stream (absolutely the correct thing to do) was very costy to the sport.
