On the international scene, Steve Mascord discusses the changing of the guard at World Cup 2017, and looking further ahead we chat to the man behind the audacious bid from the USA to stage the 2021 tournament, plus we ask if there's anything we can learn from the Olympic ideal and there’s our regular Planet League slot keeps you up to date with the latest happenings around the world.

Big interviews this month include Chris Sandow, the troubled NRL star now proving a point with Warrington Wolves and Challenge Cup final opponent Jamie Shaul, the former brickie now building a formidable career at Hull FC.

We also head into the boardroom at Batley to talk to long-serving club chairman Kevin Nicholas on how he has transformed the fortunes of the Bulldogs on and off the field.

Bradford Bulls coach Rohan Smith tells us how he is managing to keep his head in a crisis and York City Knights player Jonny Presley reveals what life has been like as the club has battled for its survival this season.

Ok, Rugby League World is in shops now. Please rush out and buy, etc...

The mag is in between editors at the moment, with yours truly Webby back at the helm for a very temporary stint, so now's as good a time as any to tell us what you like and don't like, what you'd like to see more of, or less of, what we're doing well or not so well, before the new mystery ed starts moving the furniture about.

Please make any criticism constructive, and temper it with praise where it's due. We're all human and our aim is always just to produce a good mag! ;)

If you don't normally buy the mag (I hope you have a good excuse or a note from your mum), please make an exception this month, give it a whirl, see what you think and let us know.

(Hides under desk waiting for responses).

Mine came today.

I'm yet to finish the last one, which may seem daft but I now like to dip in and out and the mag should have longevity for the month. Which they do now. It's certainly lifting the lid and going behind the scenes in other aspects of the game.

I really believe RLW should educate to a certain point, tell us what we probably wouldn't already know. I'd like a refresher with player welfare (I remember a Karl Fitzpatrick article a few years ago), what is a concussion test exactly?, what happens when players move clubs? (an off-season filler there for you), ... I'm your ideas man RLW and you all know it!

Oh and Webby, I'm gonna need to buy another binder or two!
