Race in sport.

Or origin in sport rather.

We were talking tonight, with my Jamaican brother in law, and we were discussing sport, and I happened to say the West Indies Cricket were not always black, and we couldn't find out who was the last non-black/white player. Also when & who was the last republic of Ireland, or Northern Ireland League registered, player to play for the national side? Or given recent form, Wales & a Welsh FA side (not Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Colwyn Bay etc) who is registered with a Welsh side?

Brandon Nash is a white cricketer who played for the Windies around 2010. Gary Lloyd was playing for Barry Town when he made the Wales squad (don't know if he got a cap).

Brendan Nash was born in Australia though, the last white cricketer born in WI to play for them was Geoff Greenidge .

It was Geoff Greenidge he played for Sussex here in the early 70s.

I think Brandon Nash was later found to be mixed race.

Roy Carroll plays in goal for Linfield and I think is still a part of the current Northern Ireland squad.

Not sure about the Welsh or Irish players.
