Keighley Cougars have today appointed Richard Tate as Assistant Coach to Scott Lindsey at Reserve grade level.

Tate joins the club and brings a wealth of experience to the role including working in both the academy systems at the Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos and is currently the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Officer for the South Leeds area.

Richard has also previously coached the Hull University side and is now Head Coach of both the Yorkshire Regional University and Leeds Trinity Titans University team.

Tate has also coached on a number of Great Britain Pioneers teams, including this years tour of Hungary in which current Reserves winger Lewis Davey was a member of his squad.

We’re delighted to welcome Richard to Cougar Park and look to make further announcements in regards to the Reserves team and divisional set-up in the near future.
