Agecroft drainage work

And now for something completely different!

Even though I am far from being a 'spring chicken' I like to do a regular spot of jogging to help keep the old pistons firing as it were.

However, in recent months I have taken to parking the car just off Agecroft Road where our intended new home will one day come to fruition, fingers crossed. I sometimes jog along the river bank and return via the canal towpath, or, as likely as not, I will just do several laps of the field itself.

The other day I went to the field and low and behold in one corner I thought for a moment that work had commenced albeit earlier than expected. There in the corner not far from the changing huts, drainage trenches had been dug ready for them to be filled with the stone chippings piled up nearby. Having been a parks worker (not a teacher or rocket scientist) in my younger days it all looked quite familiar.

Won't it be simply wunderbar when it all finally comes together?    :yahoo:
