A very important game in London this weekend.  If we win, and also take the game in hand against Oldham, then that's us back into second (pts allowing).  If we lose then we'll be hard pushed to catch the Broncos,  especially with them having the advantage of playing Sheffield rather than Leigh as the extra game.

We're not playing brilliantly but are scoring points at the moment though.  Sidlow and Gaskell probably due back as well.  Bulls win.

Wish I could agree.

Sidlow and Gaskell should make a difference but we'll never perform consistently until we have a competent scrum half in place. Fans moaned about Siejka last season but this season has shown the folly of not having a specialist in the position.

Broncos are confident and playing well and on their own patch I think they'll take the points by a couple of scores.

And when they found our shadows

Grouped around the TV sets

They ran down every lead

They repeated every test

They checked out all the data on their lists

And then the alien anthropologists

Admitted they were still perplexed

But on eliminating every other reason

For our sad demise

They logged the only explanation left

This species has amused itself to death

No tears to cry no feelings left

This species has amused itself to death

I genuinely don't think we've missed Siejka a great deal - as controversial as that sounds. I think Mullaney has been a far greater miss in terms of that creative spark - to my mind the games we played best featured him, and when he wasn't playing it was easy to tell. Rumour has it that Mullaney walked as he was close pals with Siejka, so maybe we should have kept him after all!

Agree though that Sunday could well shape our season. Depends which Bulls turn up really!

Naughty. No 2 games are the same,as well you know.( The Leigh mercenaries may all have signed for Toronto by time the SB starts)

While I'm on here.Sheffield to win and to keep Dewsbury to less than 20 points.

Cool your jets mate.

Whine? I think you've got me mixed. Not sure what you mean by excuses... We're exactly where we deserve to be at this stage.

The point being made is that if we are to catch you then we need to win at the weekend and also win our game in hand v Oldham. That should put us into second. At the Summer Bash you will be playing Sheffield and we will be playing Leigh in the EXTRA game. If you reckon ours is the easier gig then happy to swap.

There are 4 Professional sides in the comp and they will play each other. Based on last years placings, (and results between the clubs concerned) the draw is fair and balanced as it can be.

Your initial post inferred we had an unfair advantage and on re-reading, this is still the inference I take from it....although given what the Eagles did to you earlier this month at your, I suspect you'd rather play Halifax....oh, hang on  ;)

Just because you point out an advantage doesn't automatically mean you think it's unfair! Harsh reading of Konkrete's comments, but I'll forgive you as it's been such a long time since London had an advantage over anyone ;)

Indeed.  Of course it is absolutely fair and correct that Bradford and Leigh contest the extra game at Blackpool.  It is also correct to say that to not play the champions and current league leaders in the extra game, now enhanced by superstars like Rangi Chase (back in training this week and loving it) from last season, is an advantage.

I didn't infer anything, my post is clear - there is an advantage.

Big week for fev and fax if they can win and make up ground. Good thing about the championship there is always a couple of key games that can change the dynamic.

Sheffield sound in turmoil

Batley in freefall

I think Bradford will beat London this week.

Fev and Fax to win

Rangi played on Sunday against Fev. He has been back at training for a few weeks now. Had a good game on his return and scored a try. Named in the 19 for Batley this weekend too.

A happy, settled and motivated Rangi Chase is some asset to have.

Batley have a lot of players injured but we have 2 new signings plus 2 dual reg players from Castleford.

It will be interesting to see how the side perform against Leigh.

Not wanting to seem a little dubious at that announcement, but I am Wondering how much the "injuries" have been influenced by next Friday's game.

Listening to John Kear (Radio Leeds) on the way home from Fev last week he was sounding has though he had already conceeded the Leigh game, and the was no mention of injuries in his comments.

Ah yes, another conspiracy against Leigh! If you want to see the extent of the injuries, look at the club website.

No conspiracy at all Doggie, it has happened with clubs before and it will happen again, of course the injuries are going to be backed up in print that's the get out clause if true or otherwise, let's just wait till Friday to see how many have recovered, one of us will be vindicated then!

Vindication? What are you on about? We have injuries, we have brought in players to cover them.

Players recover from injuries! So l suspect a couple might play against Catalans that don't against Leigh!

Where is the conspiracy? Where is vindication needed?

Batley would not have brought the players in if there were no injuries.

I wasn't making excuses before the game. In fact the new players are of good quality and the team looks strong on paper. However Leigh away is a tough game.

A lot of people are getting ahead of themselves withb the Broncos this season. Although I have said from the outset that London would be in the top 4. i have to confess this season has, thus far, gone far better than i could have expected. Progress has been made but London still have the capacity for a mad ten minutes which seems tio be a problem against the better sides.

Personally I am elsewhere today but In all seriousness I hope someone has thought about Portaloos at The ground because a four figure crowd and one Toilet in the main stand could be brutal...
