Doncaster Rugby League head coach Gary Thornton spoke to the official website ahead of Sunday's clash with Hunslet Hawks.

The Dons travel to West Yorkshire looking for their third win on the spin in League 1.

Doncaster visited Hunslet last month in the Challenge Cup and were on the end of a 48-12 defeat, but Thornton insisted he is not looking for revenge.

"I don't think it is revenge, it is more pride," said Thornton when asked the question.

"We all know how disappointing that game was, it is important for the boys to remember how disappointed we were last time we were there and hopefully we can right a few wrongs.

"The performance wasn't the best, we had a lot of injuries and the sending off that was proved not to be a sending off, a lot of things went against us in that game.

"We let ourselves and our supporters down badly last time we went there and it is important in a good performance.

"It can be difficult, it is a bit of a wind tunnel if the elements are against you and there are also Hunslet's 13 players to contend with.

"Hunslet have a big pack of forwards, they are well marshalled by Jack Lee and George Flanagan, two very good hookers and Simon Brown in the halves.

"They are a good team, I think their league position belies how good they are because they had a really tough start away at Barrow and Rochdale.

"They are not to be taken lightly, they are a good team and it is a difficult place to play but hopefully we can go and do ourselves justice on Sunday.

"I understand they played really well in the second half of the Challenge Cup against Salford, I think they are doing okay.

"It is going to be a tough test but we just have to concentrate on ourselves and we have also put together two good wins."

Thornton was also full of praise for his side in last weekend's victory and admitted he may have a selection dilemma.

"Last week against Barrow we were excellent and we toughed it out, they are a good team and with 12 men the way we took the game to them I was delighted," said Thornton.

"We also have Connor Scott which is fantastic news for us, I thought he deserved a sending off thankfully the review panel have seen the opposing player strike first and we are happy to take that.

"I don't think there will be too many changes from last week, we have a few headaches which is good for us."
