  1. Didn’t go but v pleasing score given who was missing. Bad luck to have such key players out for these games that could go either way
  2. Thought the lads worked hard today and once I’d seen we had neither Callum or Bailey I wasn’t expecting us to take the points. Any team would miss those two. No idea what happened to Rush but he might have made a difference so his absence also added to our travails That said, their pack was v strong and laid the foundations for a fairly comfortable win in the end. Still need the pack to look to offload a little more but can’t complain about the work rate and for long periods our defence was nearly as good as last week.
  3. No Bailey on Sunday I see. Suspect thats down to that naughty little challenge from our old friend Dale Morton last week? Will be a blow that, but hopefully we will see Owen back. Will miss Baileys ability to break the line though
  4. Think Widnes will still be smarting from last year and buoyed by their opening two games so a Rams win would be a very pleasant surprise.
  5. I'd happily take Fridays ref again. Thought Mr Bennet was as good as we've seen at our gaff for ages and certainly better than that SL ref we had for the Boxing Day match.
  6. I'm sticking with the same comment I've posted several times already and then I'll leave alone for a while. Owen back to FB and Bailey to 4, where I think he would be more involved. It's easy to forget after Friday's win that last season it was Bailey making the breaks and who was ALWAYS the one backing up? Yep, Owen. I've nowt against Marcus Walker and the coach must see something I don't (is his defence better?) but for me a back line of Owen, Bailey and Ollie would be up there with the best.
  7. Hasn't changed my view. Bailey at 4 and Owen at 1 and we'd be rocking...Both players are class...
  8. Never been happier to admit I was wrong....What a day!!!
  9. a good post but one would need a crystal ball to even guess what might happen. Come the new world of IMG we might even disappear for good, who knows.....
  10. I see Owen is in the squad at number 1 but doubt that means owt. I noted he was listed as 1 in the squad for the Halifax game and he still didn't get a game
  11. Interesting KO time....Is one to have tea (Dinner if tha is Southern) afore the match or after? At my age such routines matter...
  12. Especially if Owen is at 18 again
  13. I Iike the optimism and agree we could grind out a win if we play at our best, but score 24 points. Nah…..
  14. I guess it does but if he is fit enough for 18 Id also assume he was fit enough for 1.
  15. No injuries apparently. Rather depressingly he simply wasn’t picked.
