  1. Nice one Acko. As in, engaged to the daughter of a very rich ###### who's making promises?
  2. Yes, during the chat a great request from Ryan Brierley, " I'd love to see his qualifications " when referring to Richie possibly becoming a director of rugby. MONEY TALKS, and it's who you know.
  3. Once again I tuned in to your excellent commentary Andy and can clearly recall the points you made above. The word that kept shouting in my head to describe your comments was ineptitude. When the Knights have Liam and Hingano together in the halves why on earth were we lacking sparkle and a poor kicking game? The more the game progressed it really did come across that you and the travelling Knights fans were watching two " ordinary sides". Polite as ever mate.
  4. Spot on for me. It's all very well signing very promising young lads for the future but ideally you don't want to be playing too many at once. For 70+ minutes today we never looked like a team and the final score, achieved against 11 exhausted opponents, flattered the Knights.
  5. Don't worry, we've also signed a promising young prop from the Rhinos. Oh, hold on a minute, the new prop looks as though he's built like a second row, and is not as big as Lineham. Hmm.
  6. The funeral of John Bell will take place at York Crematorium on Monday 26th February at 3.0. Following this, Knights fans and all John's friends are invited to The Bootham Tavern to celebrate John's life.
  7. Sad days indeed John. RIP Peter.
  8. I should add that many people on this forum may have only known John as " Spanish Knight".
  9. As those of you who participate on Facebook will have seen, John Bell sadly passed away this week. John was a York RL supporter for 65+ years and was a regular contributer to this site. A friend to many, John's enthusiasm for the greatest game will be sorely missed. Funeral arrangements yet to be announced. RIP John, wherever you are, ger em onside!
  10. We were very sorry to hear of your good friend's passing John. Unfortunately we are unable to attend David's funeral. Our thoughts are with you.
  11. Ditto in Crete, having to down even more booze.

    Dilemma

    No relation, honest.
  13. Far better than those journos John when we had the original Evening Press. As mentioned already Martin Lacey and the very professional Peter Smith who went on to ghost write rugby league autobiographies, think he still writes for the Yorkshire Post. As many posters have highlighted, the current York Press is a joke, the young journos are on a hiding to nothing.
  14. Best I've seen the Knights play for quite a while, after a dodgy first quarter the lads got on top of Fax and blunted many of their attacks. When Liam Harris is on song he is very creative like today, just need more of it Liam thank you very much. Well done everybody.
  15. Us oldies aren't exactly over chuffed at the moment either, and, unlike Clint, we're not particularly planning for the long term.
