  1. If I was a Wakey fan, I'd be writing it off as being because DP doesn't have a great record at knock out rugby. Fortunately for them, promotion this season won't be based on just a handful of end of season games.
  2. Where was that story published last week?
  3. The irony in all of this (finances ignored), is that consistent performance over a period of time is what would be required to stay in SL if performance on the pitch is the key measurement. Fev actually displayed that last year, it was the performance in the play offs which threw them. Those were the rules, they were known before the season started however.
  4. Exactly. Requiring repayment of the loan is the critical element in that regards.
  5. For new issues. I doubt Mark would get £10 each from anyone on the open market, it just gives a clear indication of how much he's put into the club.
  6. IMO it should be the RFL making decisions. The less power the clubs have, the less everything is based on self interest.
  7. On paper. Is be amazed if they had any resale value. It's just a way to "invest" in the club without expecting a return, as you'd get with a loan.
  8. I can't imagine he'd ever expect it back, but can't say for certain. Converting to shares is always an option, not that shares would be likely to have any resale value.
  9. The last accounts at companies house showed a sizeable loan (can't remember the amount) from the chairman, at zero interest. Whether he ever expected or expects it to be paid back, who knows.
  10. I never said they were, just that all of them have a benefactor who appears to be in it for the long haul.
