the perfect weekend would be a dogs win obviously. the other dream results for attendance purposes only would be wins for salford, huddersfield and bradford. that would give us home games in the middle eights against leeds, hull kr and bradford. kerching at the turnstyles

I've held a grudge against chris caisley supporting bradford fans for 20 years..

I just hope we do em big time on Sunday.

Being laid up i missed my trip to the mount this year so I'm half hoping we get to visit batley in the 8s...

Small matter of beating northern first

Not sure we'd get leeds at ours after their win last night. ??

WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO SWIPE THIS?

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't fancy Salford at all, but with it been played at the ex sewage works I can just see them doing it, then only the small matter of us beating Swinton(YES).

Which match is on Sky tonight.

Cheers Roger.

As I understand it, 3rd place in Championship are at home to 10th and 12th placed SL teams and 4th placed Championship team and away to the other 4 teams who make up the 8.

4th place in Championship are at home to 9th and 11th placed SL teams and Leigh.

I don't wish to seem pedantic but the (not ex) sewage works is in Daveyhulme and the A J Bell stadium in Barton upon Irwell

They are on opposite sides of the Manchester Ship Canal

Go down there and take a deep breath to see if you can tell the difference!

That's the one I have been using for the last 4 weeks just to keep check on things.

Sorry Dogs Bawls, if the winds in the right direction you still get the awful stink, or you did about 3 years ago.

Last time I went over Barton flyover they appear to have done a lot of work on the new roads around there.

Cheers Roger.

Salford and giants have very little home fans never mind away fans! We will however benefit from those who only turn up for big games and other super league fans

'Shaw cross juniors, Birkenshaw, Mirfield, Heckmondwike Panthers, Stainland Stags and then the Heavy woolen donkeys... WARDY, STOZZA, GT, KARL OR KEAR MUST OF DROPPED A DIGIT FROM MY MOBILE NUMBER! :clapping:

So it's still a sewage works, and not an ex-one. Get it?

I do hope that you are right 9'O but wouldn't get your hopes up too high. The Castleford chairman pointed to this strange anomaly at the start of the season that their home gates in the 8's were considerably down on the corresponding fixtures in the "regular" season for reasons which weren't easy to explain. Championship clubs embraced the concept reasonably well but some SL clubs less so.

Thank you bsj; sharp as ever

Not only is Davyhulme Sewage works still operational it is undergoing a £200m development

The A J Bell is most definitely not built on it

The roads in the vicinity being built are part of the Port Salford, Atlantic Gateway development which includes a new low level "lifting" bridge to take freight from the A57 to the port. This will also assist access to the stadium

Might not be built "ON" it but it still stinks. And extra roads for access to the Sadium are on present crowds a waste of money. Just opened my window and can smell it from here.

Would have been better gate wise to finish 4th then by the looks of it.

C'est la vie - have to say though Im looking forward to Headin

What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law
