Big game for both of us,we need the points to try & cement a semi final place, you to avoid the dreaded drop,i truly hope you do.

My heart says

Us by 8

My head says

You by the same margin

After this game which I hope we win, I hope you get enough points to stay up.

you winning on sunday and us still getting enough points to stay up is very unlikely IMO. it depends on which town turns up on sunday. We are clinging on and nothing less than a win will do and hopefully a swinton loss

Defence has to be switched on this week and callum in the halves , is matty injured ? then it may have to be callum and jamie at hooker , when is perry back ? he creates spaces from either centre or second row when he barges in and likes to spread it out wide .

town by 6 , it simply has to be or its about gone .

Im changing my mind to another defeat. Some players not been training (not sure if its due to having the pay cut or injury) and a general bad feeling around the club coming from above. These are bad times for our club and i cant see it improving until someone else is allowed to take over at board level.

no it gave players off both sides free time to go abroad on benders

im resigned now to all 3 cumbrian clubs being in league 1 next year. Town and haven to lose this weekend and swinton to beat oldham. Very sad times up here.

i have the same feeling as wonky , cracks about bad atmosphere still hanging over the club , a friend of mine who sometimes watches training says they cancelled it tuesday , anyone confirm this ?....we need to get our heads straightened out , sunday is definitely the last chance saloon to give us a realistic chance of staying up......when the going gets tough..........

Phil Veivers said: “I was disappointed but not overly surprised given the turmoil that’s going on in the club at the moment. We’ve only trained for 30 minutes in two weeks because of it.

Death is not the end. Just think of it as leaving early to avoid the rush.

But is anyone waiting in the wings to take control ? This meltdown percolates right through the Club .For the last 50 years my unwavering support has involved an 80 mile round trip just for home matches but if the players aren't training why should I make that trek any more? The present custodians of our historic Club have been an unmitigated shambles and if there are people willing to take over then for God's sake give them the chance . If we -as seems likely -drop into the basement division I will still make that trek -but not if the current regime don't step aside.

if you believe rumours then yeah theres quite a nice little consortium willing to take over, but again only rumours theres someone digging there heels in and refusing to budge leaving the club hurtling towards the big a word.

There is another A word that hasn't often been on the agenda at Town and that is Accountability . By and large the punters have, over the decades been treated like mushrooms-- kept in the dark and fed on sh#t. Well, I've had it up to the back teeth with my Club being steered over the cliff by egomaniacs who put their own reputations before the survival of a historic Rugby League Icon poised on the brink of oblivion . Come what may I will be there on Sunday but on this occasion it won't be just the ref who is on the end of my angst.

Whatever is going on at the club is what it is but  there are 20 plus players who also need to get together and start putting in a performance worthy of your great club. Money is one thing but pride for your club is another and as much as you life long supporters bemoan what is going on behind the scenes at your club the fact remains that performances on the field is what counts. I understand through a number of players agents touting your players that they have agreed to a pay cut . Well they need to stop and think about where they would be anyway if the club get relegated. Time for the talking to be done on the pitch, I watched the DVD of the game on Sunday and to be quite frank Oldham wanted it so much more in the first half. Now you can blame it as much as you want on whats going on behind the scenes but If you cared that much about the club and had some fire and pride in ya belly you would have been training all week in preparation . I know for a fact that the Oldham players where in Tuesday , Thursday & Saturday ?  that in itself tell a story, & it certainly did in the first half . However I must say that  you got some tough calls at crucial times on Sunday.

tend to agree with wonderofwood , the politics of the club has to be off the minds of the players and it is they who have to regroup and do their all on the pitch to try and prevent being in a league that is no good not only for the club but for their own game and ambition too , it cant be easy for the lads but they have to block out the current issues and focus on 2 points a week and let the other issues and business part of the club take care of itself , a lot can happen in closed season so its better knowing you will be still in this in this league whilst problems are being addressed

From the cracks I heard the players were miffed about the way it was all done. Once the deadline for moving clubs had expired the players were told about a 30% pay cut happening whether they liked it or not and it was the attitude of a certain person that upset them.

This caused the players to talk between themselves and ask if they should put 30% less effort in.

Like I said these are rumours but they are from people who know some of the players. I'm sure those who play give their all but if true it shows how alienated the players feel.

What have I been giving my money for if it wasn't to steer the club away from this mess?

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Sadly I think this might be the case and if so I hope you regroup and return. Still it's not over till it's over and I will predict a narrow Town win just to keep your hopes alive
