Can I just add. Fev’s pitch is full size and has been since the redevelopment of the new stands. The pitch was extended. The slope is not as bad because of that either.

My version of fair is the worst team in super league get relegated and the best team in the championship get promoted. It’s why we watch sport right? How can anyone be happy with it being decided on a spreadsheet every season with a formula heavily suited to the status quo.

Summed up perfectly. It’s an absolute farce and not sport. I’m out.

We could go up on the pitch this season. Do a Leigh in super league next season and still be relegated. Or we stay down, win the grand final in 2024 and not be promoted. It’s not sport, it is a stitch up. I’m not going to games when there is no jeopardy on the pitch. Went through that before, it’s a different form of licensing. If you can’t see that I don’t know where you are looking. You need to read closely at the criteria. The game outside super league is dead and I’m done with the sport after this season.

One detail but the most important. The criteria is heavily skewed in favour of existing super league clubs and clubs with bigger catchment areas. It’s a closed shop in all but name. If Fev don’t get promoted on the field this season then that’s our chance gone. You happy to watch meaningless games in the championship going forward? I’m not, it’s my last season then I’m out.
