Manufactured by local firm Ravensport, the entire kit has been designed to closely match the one worn by Dewsbury's 1973 Championship winning squad as the club prepares to commemorate 40 years since the famous triumph.
The shirt features a white collar, the town's coat of arms and white squad numbers on a black square, while the thickness of the stripes has also been carefully considered with the 1973 design in mind.
The shirt also features details from the Championship Final win over Leeds, including the names of the players in the squad that day, shadowed into the black stripe beneath the logo of principal sponsor Eric France Metal Recycling.
The year '1973' adorns the right shoulder of the shirt as well as the reverse of the socks, while the kit also features a modern twist with the inclusion of the Rams' current club logo shadowed into the red stripe towards the bottom of the shirt.
The kit has been manufactured to the latest technological standards and, for the first time, supporters will be able to get their hands on the 'players' fit', as modelled above by first team player Austin Buchanan, as well as a supporters' replica, which features a button collar and is looser fitting.
"I'm confident that the new kit will prove to be a huge hit with supporters. It's a fantastic design and a superb way to commemorate the achievements of our Championship winning squad," said Rams chairman Mark Sawyer.
"We'd like to thank Mick Turner from Ravensport for stepping up his sponsorship of the club in terms of the supply of this year's playing kit, training gear and supporters' merchandise.
"It's a big help to the club. Mick's taken a bit of a gamble this season and Ravensport are now major sponsors of the Rams, and I hope that supporters will help repay him for his investment.
"If you can afford to buy a shirt then please buy one. It's a terrific deal we've struck with Ravensport and the challenge for us now is to sell our merchandise and keep it affordable for Mick to come back to us under the Ravensport banner."
The shirts will be available to pre-order online and through the club very shortly, while delivery of all stock is expected in time for Christmas. Replica shirts and other club merchandise will also be available to order via a new purpose-built online store to be launched in conjuction with Ravensport towards the end of this month.
We would like to thank supporters for their continued backing of the club as we prepare for the 2013 season.
The best way to see the Rams in action next year is with a season ticket.
