The club would like to update supporters on the latest news regarding the Huntington Stadium pitch in preparation for tomorrow’s match v Hull FC. At present around a third of the pitch is clear of snow but temperatures are set to rise to between 6 and 8 degrees tonight and this, in addition to the heavy rain forecast, should clear the majority of what is remaining.
A pitch inspection will take place at 9:30am, at which point we may require volunteers to come to the stadium to help clear any remaining snow. We ask that supporters please help us if we need it as this match is extremely important to the club both financially end in preparation for next weekends league opener at Whitehaven. If your help is required please bring a shovel if you are able to do so.
We will put information on the club website, Twitter and Facebook pages by 10am tomorrow morning so please keep an eye on these channels for the latest news.
The club remains confident that the fixture will go ahead as planned and thanks you in advance for your support.
