Kevin Sinfield on Matt Dawson's team last night.  Darren Lockyer was the mystery personality.  Matt Dawson described him as his uglier double!

“Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter. But he ended PM, CH and OM. An Earl and a Knight of the Garter.”

Darren was a good sport with his "have you seen this missing person?" piece to camera. Is it my imagination, or has he had some throat treatment since retiring, as his voice sounded a bit more normal than it used to.

"I always enjoyed it more if there was a body or two lying about, it made the job a bit more interesting" Vince Karalius

It wasn't just hoarseness though; he'd taken a fair bit of damage to the throat over the years but didn't want to risk corrective surgery while he was still playing.

Did Sinfield take 3 minutes to answer his questions in order to give his team mates a breather?

And he's a smoker.

thought sinfield came across good and was a superb ambassador for our game.
"Why is Napoleon crying ?" said one sailor to the other, "poor ###### thinks he's being exiled to st helens" came the reply.

Yeah I did, I mentioned at the forums they should show the game in the Coral Stand and invite some of the old players for a fans' night thing.

But to be honest it seems flipping ages ago.

That would have been good. They could have linked it in with the promotion of the Leeds match next week.

Yeah the whole "experience" of the club then seems a lifetime ago, but the game itself I remember clear as day. Funny how time works like that.
