Ukraine has joined European Rugby League’s top table after the RLEF board of directors granted the UFRL full member status. Jubilant UFRL president Artur Martyrosyan commented, "This is a great victory for Ukrainian Rugby League. My heartfelt congratulations go out to all the fans, players and federation staff who have contributed to this historic event. I would like to express my gratitude to the RLEF directors for their trust and support of the sport in Ukraine. Now begins a new and more advanced stage of development here."

That's pretty amazing growth. Fantastic to see further development across the world.

Also mentioned in the linked article, good news about Belgium. Let's hope they can get something going.

great news about Ukraine and best of luck with them becoming full RLIF members.

The RLEF is doing some splendid work developing the game in Europe despite some set backs in some established nations.

what will be interesting is the sway of influence the RLEF and to a degree the RFL will have on RLIF stategy and decision making as these new nations become full RLIF members and gain voting rights at board meetings.

Ukraine are full RLEF members not full RLIF members. Having said that I still can't see the day when all full member countries of the RLIF have equal voting power. It will still come down to the big three having their way as always.

That's where France needs to step up and stir the pot a little.
