Hornets raced to an 18-0 lead and the seemed to fall off in intensity and slipped to 10-18 by HT.

However a very good second half saw that score 36 unanswered points for a 10-54 final score.  Langley was 100% with the boot kicking several from out wide and it's good to see we have a back-up for Crooky.

I hope we can put a stop to this slack period for next week against Hemel.

Given Hemel's 54-24 dismantling of S.Wales today, we shall have to be on form in defence and attack.

Apart from the usual 10 or 15 minute smoke break, Hornets played some wonderful Rugby League in ideal summer weather.  Some of tries that they scored in the second half was worth the admission money alone. Once the forwards took command our backs looked in complete control and one of our tries was a length of the field effort that passed through many pairs of hands. The young out-half Yates has got a wonderful pair of hands and sent some delightful passes out and Gaz Langley kicked every goal from all over the park.

It would be unfair to say that the All Golds were poor, in fact the scoreline slightly flattered us, and make no mistake this All Golds team will not go through the season winless.

All in all we played some glorious rugby league and lets hope we can have some consistency and play this way for the rest of the season as we all know they can.
