Francis Cummings " The training grounds are too hard to do contact on for fear of injuring our players "
Yet our players are expected to play matches do they not get injured on hard grounds major gaff in my opinion from the PR men at Red Hall .

We've suffered 7 serious knee injuries at our club since 2004 and only one has been in the winter season and that was in September 2011. (All had blades on)

It is the first sustained heatwave since 2006. Last year was a complete wash out. The recent winter was fairly mild according to reports but the winter of 2009/10 was incredibly cold with snow laying on the ground for three months in various places of the north. Weather is interchangeable year upon year. We can't mitigate for that in any season.
As for injuries, I have played both seasons extensively for 25 years. I have seen bad injuries in both seasons; broken legs and snapped ligaments in winter and shoulder injuries in summer. Again it is all dependent on the situation and experience so you can't use these as concrete facts that one season is better than the other.
For what it is worth, Bradford should sort their bloody training pitch out. For a professional club to be complaining about a hard pitch is pretty pathetic. I don't see other clubs complaining; maybe they invest in their infrastructure better?
