For the first part of the season I think I was criticising and swearing at them most of the time, roll on Whitehaven although they seem to have brought in 5 loans for the game
-
Do we know who is behind the takeover?
-
Well what a turnaround in the last couple of weeks, the players seem a lot more enthused and energy is up on the pitch and in the stands. Some of the players that I didnt rate seem to have stepped up and be pushing themselves forward, lets hope it continues and it isn't just a new coach bounce. Gibson and Eaves seem to have had a massive influence as well

Jordy Gibson signed up as well, Hatton and Walker to Hunslet permanently
-
Ant Walker was on loan last week at Hunslet as well

Falling out of love with RL.

After watching Swinton for 47 years and following them from one home ground to another, they have finally got to me. I have mossed more games already this season then any season apart from the first season at Gigg Lane when we first sold Station Road. The terrible communication from Chief Exec who only seems to communicate with his mates in the Park Inn, the constant moving of kick offs to 2pm to accommodate the women's team, that wasn't mentioned when we purchased out tickets, the awful performances on the pitch I have a season ticket, brought the shirt, pay into the Trust and Pride Builder as well as buy other merchandise. I find it harder and harder to justify spending time and money on the club when they cant even be bothered to communicate with you, the only press release we get is when they tell us all they are great and we should worship the ground they walk upon -
Swinton Lions - Paul Wood sacked
Mark replied to Tim Streets tache's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Back to the original point, Wood was dealt a poor hand this season. Every other club seemed to invest and bring in experience that was in Div 1 last year, we seemed to think a group of youngsters supported by Sidlow (38 years) and Baker (retired twice) would be good enough. We haven't given him the tools to work with, we haven't even got a front of shirt sponsor this year, our games seem to be sponsored by individuals with no commercial aspect involved at all. Social Media and communication is terrible, the only way you get to find out anything is by going in certain pubs in Swinton that a couple of members of our board frequent. After 47 years of following, they are finally getting me so disillusioned that although I have a season ticket, I am considering giving up attending for this season, its the first year I haven't attended an away match up to now. -

If they did the IMG ratings correctly, we would have been the only side to score negative points on social media -
Paul Wood resigns as Swinton Lions boss with replacement made
Mark replied to Total Rugby League's topic in Swinton Lions
I fear for Sunday Wayne, I also fear it will put a lot of people off if we lose, or at least lose badly.
