Half Time Report: PNG 4 France 6

France had a narrow lead over Papua New Guinea at half time of their game in Hull on the second day of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

France had opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Thomas Bosc ghosted through the PNG defence. Bosc converted his own try.

It took PNG 11 minutes to hit back with winger Bosam Nene McDonald getting the score after the ball had ballooned to the right winger. Fullback David Mead missed with the difficult conversion.

McDonald had another chance from a Mead kick and then Josiah Abavu went in to touch on the opposite wing.

Three minutes from the break Theo Fages had a try ruled out for a double movement.
