Important travel information for Challenge Cup Final
Fans travelling to London on Saturday August 23 for the Tetley’s Challenge Cup at Wembley Stadium (3.00pm) are asked to consider the following notices (courtesy of the RFL):
Prior to your journey, please visit the Transport For London website – www.tfl.gov.uk – for information on all forms of public transport in London, routes, maps, journey planner, congestion charges and online tickets sales before making your journey to Wembley.
If you are wishing to drive to the stadium, please note that the RFL will not be directly administering any parking for this event. Wembley Stadium is a public transport destination and parking is limited. We recommend you only use official stadium parking and book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Official on-site parking for coaches, mini buses, blue badge, limousines and motorbikes/scooters is operated and managed through CSP and can be purchased via the following websites: www.wembleyofficialparking.com
Brent Council operates a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) on event days and any vehicles illegally parked within the zone will be issued with a fine and may be towed away.
Timetables and journey planners are available for viewing on the Network Rail websites, www.networkrail.co.uk or www.nationalrail.co.uk. During the weekend of the Challenge Cup final, Network Rail will be carrying out major improvement work between Watford Junction and London Euston.
Wembley Stadium is served by three stations: Wembley Park (Metropolitan and Jubilee lines linking extensively throughout London), Wembley Central (London Over-ground and Bakerloo line) and Wembley Stadium (Chiltern Railways provide the link between London and the Midlands).
Spectators should be aware that there will be part closures on Metropolitan, Northern and London Overground lines. Please refer to www.tfl.gov.uk for further information.
For information on travelling to and from the stadium by bus, please visit the following website: www.tfl.gov.uk/buses.
Transport for London would also like to make visitors aware that cash is no longer accepted on buses so passengers must either buy a pay-as-you-go Oyster Card, a Travelcard or use a contactless debit card.
