Just thought I would mention to all you Whitehaven lot, we are so looking forward to your visit to Barrow on Friday, a big crowd is expected and I am sure you will recieve a warm reception at Craven Park, enjoy your brief moment of success at the top of the table because after Barrow blitz you off the park thats all you will have to remember.

Barrow are back ..... the glory days are returning, your crown as the top team in Cumbria is about to come to an end, the signings we have made and the growing support through the turnstiles is a sign of the ambitions that Barrow have for the future.

We look forward to seeing you at Craven Park on Friday, try and bring a few down and enjoy the atmosphere.

If you are travelling by coach, come down the main bypass road as this takes you practically straight to Craven Park. It also passes right by ASDA so you can stop off and buy loads of jam to cheer you up on your homeward journey!

Seriously though, you will be made welcome at Craven Park which may be old but has a great atmoshere and is also home to the Mightly Barrow Raiders, the greatest rugby league team in all of Cumbria!

C'MON YOU RAIDERS!

the jampots are nowhere near the team they were during their two grand final failures a few years ago and now rely heavily on huddersfeild giants player greg mcnally who they have on loan at the moment.

18-12

Close game as many thought it would be, sounded like Barrow shade possesion/control etc, dour 2nd half with Haven getting the only points scored in a against the run of play interception try.

Haven had a lot of players out, so should be far more happier than Barrow with their preformance today, Barrow should not really use the we are jaded after our Wigan game as we are now playing with the big boys and hi intensity games will now be the norm.

I am chuffed with our win and know we will play a lot better than this on the return fixture, dont use this game as a guide to our strenght as a side as we didnt quite fire today and will be far stronger when our newbies gel as you will also be far stronger when your walking wounded return.

This game up west will be a stonker.
