As we all know due to Kevin Sinfield’s nomination for the big award, the Sports Personality of the Year awards are coming up – with next Sunday the night you need to circle in your calendar.
Sinfield is named alongside some of the biggest faces in world sport, and is very much in the running to become the first ever Rugby League player to win the award since its inception. In fact, he’s the first ever player from our sport to be nominated at all, so he’s already set a pretty historic milestone.
But even though it’s been an incredible year for British sport again in 2015, hopes are high that the Rhinos can claim an award of their own, too.
St Helens claimed the Team of the Year award back in 2006 after they won the treble, and with Leeds following suit in 2015, could they achieve a similar feat?
The Rhinos posted a teaser on their Twitter account today, with Sinfield in next season’s kit as the Rhinos pose for the cameras with all their trophies.
How many Leeds fans would like to see Sinfield back in the blue and amber for real in 2016?
