Match report: Salford Red Devils 12-28 Warrington Wolves

In a nutshell

How it unfolded
First half: An early try from Chris Bridge set the Wolves on their way, before Micky Higham grabbed another to put the visitors 10-0 up. Salford were visibly struggling, and a third try came soon after, courtesy of Gene Ormsby. However the Red Devils gave themselves a sniff before the break, as a debut try from Dominic Manfredi made it 4-16 at the break.

Second half: A Joel Monaghan try quickly extended the Warrington lead in the second period. However Manfredi struck again with a second try on debut to bring it back to 28-8.

That was how it remained, until a late Greg Johnson score added further consolation for the Red Devils. FT: 12-28.
