Sam Tomkins claims his new team-mates playing in New Zealand’s national side remain opposition until the end of the World Cup.

The 24-year-old penned a lucrative deal to join NRL side New Zealand Warriors next year.

“Any New Zealand Warriors playing for the Kiwis next week are not my team mates yet,” he said.

“I’m firmly focused on playing well and doing my bit for England. There’s only Tommy Leuluai I know and it doesn’t look like he’ll be playing. They are just the opposition for the time being.”
