Match report: Catalan Dragons 37-24 Hull KR

In a nutshell
Catalan Dragons won their third match in a row thanks to a convincing display against Hull Kingston Rovers, who were noticeably lacking in energy following last week’s Hull derby.

How it unfolded
The match is best summed up in the words of Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock: “They were too good for us today, they seemed to do everything little bit quicker than us and we let ourselves down with a few silly penalties in the second half that didn’t help.

“I’m scratching my head at how we scored 24 points, we didn’t have any ball in decent field position but credit Catalans they deserved to win today. No complaints. We hung in there. I can’t be too critical as we tried hard but conceding a tackle four penalty we lost a lot of momentum.”

Exciting full-back Morgan Escare opened the scoring for the French outfit before Elliot Whitehead (2), Michael Oldfield (2) and Daryl Millard added further four-pointers. Thomas Bosc kicked six conversions and a field-goal. In reply, Greg Egen, Omari Caro (2) and Jordan Cox crossed for the visitors, while Travis Burns landed four conversions.
