Williams puts faith in Wigan’s attack

George Williams insists Wigan will find their offensive groove before the end of the season.

The Warriors have lacked firepower with the ball all season, ending the regular Super League season as the second lowest scorers in the league, while they were questioned once again following an 8-6 defeat to Widnes last week.

Despite their troubles throughout the season, the England international is confident that the Warriors can hit form at the right time.

“Our defence has been good most of the year,” he told Wigan Today.

“But our attack hasn’t been good enough, we made plenty of chances but just didn’t finish them.

“It’s timing, people out of position, players who haven’t played in a while… we were dumb with the ball at times.

“We’re not blaming one person here, it’s all of us, we’re all doing our jobs that little bit wrong and teams are able to read our plays.

“We’re working on it all week and hopefully, it’ll click.

“As soon as it does, I’m confident we will cause teams more problems.”
