In the absence of mens rugby League in Featherstone, I assume there's going to be a massive push for the ladies Super League campaign this season?

All their games should be at Post Office Road and heavily promoted

When does the season start? Just checked the RFL website and surprise, surprise there's nothing on there.

Based on last season we'd have 7 home games plus cup games if drawn at home?

This season should be seen as an opportunity to really boost Featherstone Rovers Ladies.

Fantastic turn out of Fev fans and former players. All wanting the same thing - FEV ROVERS- BACK. Very emotional day and great to hear from past players. Raising money for the day we come back,all transparent and above board. We WILL be back in 2027 if today is anything to go by. UTR.

Home for a week and I got the opportunity to get down to the Mill Pond Stadium to watch Fev Lions last Saturday.

Four quid in with a programme/team card. Pint of John Smith's. Nice afternoon. Pitch not as dry and hard as I'd imagined. A well coached team playing good expansive rugby beat decent opposition easily.

Saw Lockwood, Davies, Hardcastle and Gale all looking good on the field. Impressive set of teammates too who I'm less familiar with.

Lovely afternoon out.

A fair few there, but I really think they deserve more. I'm surprised more Fev Rovers fans haven't chosen the Lions for their weekly RL fix in 2026.

Daughter in law in Belgium this weekend for European Championships.Rainy City Ladies (Manchester) were number 1 seed to win the winners medal.No trouble getting to the final but they lost 119-149 to our old sparring partners Toulouse.Proves that a good all round team performance can beat a team with one or two better individual players.France are very strong in the sport having 4 teams in the competition of 12.France men beat the unbeatable USA men's team to win the World Championship.England had Rainy City ,London, and Wales were represented by Tiger Bay (home of Shirley Bassey i believe.Conclusion Rainy did not score enough points on attack.I thought they would win by 28 points.Been telling daughter in law for 2 years they needed another good Jammer (they are like wingers and centres in RL )and score the points.She has filled in as one in games but is the anchor of the defence and that's her best position.At least she has a silver to add to gold with both women and mens teams.

I’m sure we would all like to wish Jack Twigg, the nephew of Steven Mullaney and Grandson of Terry and Denise all the best on refereeing the memorial game today on the 40th anniversary of Steven playing in that famous game. A very proud moment for the family.

Alongside his playing, the lad has been grafting away to become a graded RFL referee. Training, playing, and then reffing up to 6 games a week. He has worked so hard.
On the 40th anniversary of his Uncle playing at Wembley, Jack has been appointed to referee this years Steven Mullaney Memorial Year 7 Schools Final at Wembley

For the people who are supportive.I am pleased to say my daughter in law has won another medal.Playing for England Mens team in the Roller Derby World Cup played in France coming 3rd after beating Argentina very easily in the play off for third place the team won a bronze.France beat England by 42 points in the semi final and they then went on to beat a strong USA team by 93 points in the final.so one could argue England were the second best team in the world as they did not play against USA.She received a smack in the nose in the play off and a falling player knocked her off her feet and her helmet hit the deck.Medics were called on and she left the track.But 3 minutes later she was back on again,she is hard as nails on the track but soft as butter off it.She was the only woman in the team of 20 although a couple were selected as travelling reserves.So her tally so far is Womens Euro Championship gold with Rainy City.Mens Euro Championship gold with New Wheeled Order.Womans World Cup bronze while captain.Mens World Cup bronze and MVP in American game between World Champions USA and rest of the World select.She trains so hard to be the best and is one of the few player who receive free helmets knee/arm pads and skates.

UPDATE

Following Friday's bitterly disappointing decision regarding the club, we can confirm to supporters that we remain in touch with the RFL as we try to obtain more information and clarify next steps. As always we will inform fans in due course.

We have a series of things planned which will be outlined shortly.

The club also wants to acknowledge the work and support that has been shown by and towards the True Blue movement over the weekend and it is absolutely vital that we keep this up. Thank you to everybody who has backed the club.

In the meantime we are pleased to confirm that the club shop will open tomorrow - Tuesday 13th January - from 10am - 6pm for the sale of merchandise.

The club shop will then open from 10am - 6pm for the rest of the week. An update on potential Saturday opening will be made later in the week.

Amongst the items available are home and away shirts which would have been worn by the team this season and a range of merchandise in both kids and adult sizes.

We hope that fans of all ages will get behind the club and buy items from the shop as we work to ensure the club survives and prospers in the interim period.

The messages of support from fans and other clubs in the last 3 days has been very welcome after what can only be described as a horrific day on Friday.

This is an opportunity for fans to wear their colours with pride as we start to demonstrate that FEATHERSTONE ROVERS WILL NOT DIE.

We feel sure that the kit designs for 2026 will be a hit with people and the more we can sell the more it strengthens the clubs position moving forward.

Online sales will be up and running shortly and we will provide details on that in the next couple of days.

In the meantime we would love to see as many people as possible down at the stadium, as we start the fightback.
