In literary terms it's like a cross between 1984 and Alice in Wonderland. But surely tis a wondrous place, where concepts that might seem laughable to a rational human are actually taught in universities and relied upon to make laws and Govt policy. Here are two magical examples:
- Because of the magical properties of "Male Privilege" a 20-year-old Scouser on the dole actually wields more political power than Teresa May, because she's a woman.
- There's a wonderful clip doing the rounds on YT of the Cape Town Uni student who posits that Newton's Laws are not suitable for African Universities because he was white (and European and male and a colonialist) and hence his ideas aren't culturally appropriate. Yep, that's right! There's no gravity in Africa. The other funny part about that video is when one of the other students laughs he is told he is being disrespectful and is asked to leave.
Now I don't understand how a black student can be micro-aggressing anyone since, being black, he has automatic, irrevocable victim status but I'm sure Franchesca Ramsey can explain it.
