  4. We have a Concept2 in the office. It's sitting there, mocking me right now.

  5. I did my fastest parkrun since April 2017 - 26.12, 16 seconds quicker than last week. Still 3 and a half minutes slower than my PB.

  6. No point taking chances with things that might be an injury - rest until it doesn't hurt. My wife did parkrun in a bit under 34 minutes today. She hadn't run more than 3k in quite a few months, so was pretty pleased with that time.

  7. Parkrun done in an official time of 25:55. I'd have been insanely happy with that a year ago but it's a fair bit slower than recently and I've got a massive pain now in what can only be described as 'vaguely the groin area'. A few days off for me now. The annual tally is at 99k.

  9. Check out Petes plan. None weight bearing and it will never lie to you. Get to know your rower and you may fall in love.

  11. Titans on Netflix is excellent, I watched the whole series in about 3days. It’s dark in a Daredevil/Punisher style but with some genuinely interesting takes on the Superhero genre

  12. 50 min gentle cycle to town with the sea on my left, around the bay, past the snazzy gardens and then by Marina Bay Sands into the gym. Took about 50 mins 10 sets. 3 clean and presses wi 40k then 800m on the rower. Did all 10 sets in 38:45. Cycle home. Knackered in a good way. Time for pool.

  15. You're just trying to make me jealous now. I have seen many of the great bands that came out of the punk era, but sadly not The Clash or Joe Strummer, by the time I appreciated how good they were it was too late. Its amazing how many of those bands cite Joe Strummer as an influence, for instance Jake Burns has mentioned Joe Strummer every time I have seen SLF and always performs a song that he wrote about him after his death.

  16. I saw him live in Manchester with the Mescaleros just a short while before he died. He rattled through some Clash hits and played some amazing Mescalaros stuff. We danced and sang along non-stop for 2 and a half hours. At one point he addressed the crowd and said (paraphrasing) "Look at us all dressed in suits! We used to trash dressing rooms and now we tidy them up before we leave!" As a side note, he played a free set at HMV in Leeds on a midweek afternoon; I left my office thinking I don't care if I get sacked, it's Joe Strummer. I was absolutely awestruck, he was superb.
