Thanks for a very enjoyable thread, HG. I had my first mince pie of the season yesterday, a Mrs WWD hone-made one. Crumbly pastry, but tasty nonetheless! I am using a few spare minutes to go on TRL these fora. I am just back from my final church choir service of December (6 in 25 days, with rehearsals for each too!) The rest of the family have been walking the dog in the New Forest. Ah, I hear them coming back now. Happy Christmas everybody!4 points

I always send a personalised card from Funky Pidgeon .com to my sister in law who is 89 yrs young , she says seeing her name on the front of the card is as good as getting an Xmas present.3 points

Merry Christmas all from the Great White (just) North. A little snow on the ground around Toronto but that’s thawing as the temperature rises above freezing. Will make the most of the picture postcard stuff on a decent wander later! Have a great day all!3 points

Merry Christmas everyone!! This morning I have had a pack of Tesco Finest Spicy Rum mince pies for breakfast and I was not disappointed! These are probably the nicest supermarket mince pies I've had! The pastry was just the right texture, not to soft, not too hard and unlike other Tesco pies, they were filled right to breaking point. The filling itself was very tasty, not too strong and overpowering with a nice hint of rum in the background and a slight tingle of spice that hit you in the aftertaste. Really tasty pies! -------------- 1. Cooplands Brandy 2. Thomas the Baker 3. Cooplands Classic 4. Tesco Finest Spiced Rum 5. Morrison's Bakery Shortcrust 6. Sally's Deli Mince Pie Slice 7. Asda 8. Best wishes to all rl supporters for Christmas and the new year , obviously not batley , bur seriously the lower divisions need to stick together and try and find a way to progress, if not i fear that in 2 to 5 years time there wiĺl be no lower league rl, i hope not , but my glass is always half full, so onwards on upwards , things can only get better, so the song goes3 points

Well done on FFRXIII for setting this precedent, absolutely no room for this in our sport. https://treizemondial.fr/20-ans-de-suspension-pour-un-u19-de-saint-gaudens/2 points

No RL related presents for me this year. However, as is the fairly recent tradition (thinks - is that an oxymoron?) in the WWD household, while we opened our presents, we drank some fizzy, French white wine and it was none of that overpriced, tasteless champagne nonsense; no, we enjoyed the far superior, yet noticeably cheaper, Blanquette de Limoux. It's good to think that, in this admittedly infinitesimally small way, we were supporting the viticulture in and around a great rugby league town.2 points

Thanks to all for the best wishes. Merry Christmas to all on here and a happy and peaceful new year! Don't know what presents I have got yet. Opening starts shortly, as I am now back from church choir and the rest of the family from walking Poppy, our Catalan sheepdog (what other breed could a fan of Les Dracs have!), in the New Forest. (Just in case you are wondering what a Catalan sheepdog looks like, one featured on the Amazon Black Friday add a few weeks ago!)2 points

Almost went bankrupt two years ago, new start with a young team that over performed, they lost two very strong imports and have lost games by two points this season that they won last year by a couple of points, A young team that has a minimum of 13 locally produced players on the team sheet every week, Hopefully Paul momorovski will bring the spark that will change the close losses to close wins, It's a very close league this season which is great to see, the level of imports is very high, the team with the better imports are having the best seasons,2 points

Just commenting on a good player as a lot of people do on this forum. Not everyday a 17 year old is starring agaisnt grown men in a semi-pro/pro comp.1 point

It depends on their status. If they’re gender fluid then potentially they could play for men’s or women’s. However if they identify as a unicorn then that could create a whole new exciting rugby league variant1 point

It is the incumbent, dominant sport. That can change quickly with a dominant NRL, this investment into development and pathways as well as increased opportunities to play RL internationally.1 point
