  1. Hopefully we'll still see some live rugby this year!

But this is a real heartening thread to see. Knights fans are ace. I'll make sure that Jon & Neil see it when/if the club needs to make a decision.

Although if the Championship is voided for 2020 the Knights will happily be keeping my season ticket money in return for a beer 😃

Are York trying to not pay players contract money at the moment

It’s a private matter and not one for discussion on a public forum. Find someone else to wind up.

In these grim and harrowing times any form of light relief is welcome and the all time knights 13 was an interesting read ,Andy Acko Sharon Shortel, and Peter Martini, all with different teams but many with the same players, yet there was no mention or inclusion of Tawera Nikau  shame on you

I've explained this three times on Facebook too... 😂

Leeds have furloughed their players and sent them all home on 3 months leave with the club saying they will try to make some money available to them. Obviously £ 2500 a month is not enough for some of them. Tough.Feel so sorry for them, Not.

What a weird take. Some of their outgoings could be well beyond £2500 a month based on their regular wage (mortgage, kids, car etc.). The pandemic is not their fault.

Having read comments in the York Evening Press from fans things arnt too good with parking. Two hours and strictly controlled, not much time to attend a game and shop or a meal, cinema, bowling etc. Hopefully it will be looked into (unless it as already been changed). Looking forward to going to the new stadium but will miss Bootham Crescent.

Thats in the neighbouring Vangard shopping centre next door. The stadium itself has 400 parking spaces that will be available to buy online for £5 per game, no time restriction. (Bootham Crescent has 19 spaces)

If we're selling out 400 parking spaces every home game, we'll be doing better than I thought!

No issue for me, but it might be for some people who go to York on the lash and are put off by having to trek 2 miles to the stadium?

It's 2 miles. Ten minutes in a car or a 40 minute walk on a sunny day. Huntington isn't much of a 'trek' from the city centre and there are plenty of bus services that go there, plus a match day shuttle that'll be implemented.

That it is a stadium miles away from anything in the middle of nowhere is a complete myth. Brand new stadium just aren't built in city centres anymore, nor should they be.

What i meant was, with such good transport links and various park and ride schemes, why would anyone feel the need to drive into the centre?

So then, whats the issue with the new stadium? It's literally right next to a park & ride.

They have been massively hyped up by people desperate to see them become a candidate for a SL spot in my opinion.

I'm sure they'll come good or improve, but I've said for the last couple of years that i didn't get the "love in" for York as a creditable SL candidate.

Yes, they're getting a new ground, but miles out of the centre, there's nothing to suggest they will attract bigger crowds than the clubs people are seemingly desperate for them to replace, and they don't appear to be doing much on the pitch at the moment.

I don't think anyone has suggested us as an immediate candidate for Super League. Maybe in a few years hopefully, if we continue our development.

We will continue trying to be the best version of a rugby league club we can be.

The new stadium is in the suburb of Huntington. It is 2 miles from the station, and 1.5 miles from the Minster. Hardly the dark side of the Moon.

Scored 3 tries, 2 were walk in's, the third was from near half way which took some finishing but he very nearly took the wrong option, defensively I am not to sure with a weak effort for one of the Fax tries (I had a good clear view) he tried to shove his opposite into touch and got both hands to him, had he ventured to get his shoulder in I feel it would have got a more effective result, for me the jury is still out.

Cam Scott had a pretty major shoulder operation at the back end of last season. I'm sure with game time he'll continue to improve.

I was impressed with him at York last year. Kid could go far in the game.

Absolute joke today, constant buffering, tried all sorts of things but just the same. Worst its ever been for me

Mine hasn't dropped out once. Streaming from iPhone to Apple TV in HD no bother at all.

Cracking game at Bootham Crescent today. The second half was some of the most absorbing rugby I've seen in a long time. Real high quality stuff for the Championship. The referee was brilliant too.

Not too sure, I’ve never had to prove I’m getting the bus either but I think things will change on matchday otherwise everyone will simply park there and walk a few yards to the ground. £5 is a fair price if that’s the deal.

One other thing - I can’t speak for the other sites but Askham Bar (where it would make most sense got away fans to be shuttled in from) shuts at 6.30pm on a Sunday....we really aren’t making it easy are we?!!

The club will be selling 400 car parking spaces online for every game for £5. If we sell out all 400 every game then we're in a much better position than I could ever have imagined...!
