Coventry had actually won the old League 3 (2004) and was competing in the NCL when the new League 1 was formulated. Yet their application to join the new League was rejected in favour of Oxford who had no pedigree! When they were admitted into the league they had to sign a £100,000 bond. Hemel had signed the bond but neither Oxford or GAG did not have to sign. Had they signed they would have had to pay the bond in full. The £100,000 bond was the main reason that stopped Manchester from applying

Here is an idea... What if we had two officials near the touchline, perhaps carrying flags and being mic'd up and they could assist the man in the middle with some of those functions.. Nah, it'll never catch on. -

Two struggling clubs in the same little borough that would rather die than cooperate. With their resources they could be be comfortable in the Championship, washing their faces and giving the local kids an opportunity to carve out careers in RL "WHAT???........Save them "jam eaters"? I would rather stick needles in my eyes than watch that lot" " OVER MY DEAD BODY"

I had a pair of slow cooked pigs trotters for my tea. I'll let you know if the Protein Pump Inhibitor (Lansoprazole) wins the battle when the heartburn kicks in. Two chances

It might seem like a pasting for the Hurricanes at 26- 54. But it seemed like every set that Doncaster had in the second half thy either got a penalty or 6 again. A clear sending off to a Doncaster at the end of the first hlff was only put on report. At least 2 tries given were clear forward passes. The ref wanted to award one more but the touch judge stood his ground and wouldn't give it. I haven't felt so disappointed in a score line like today ever before.

Skolars have new owners that are promising to inject significant money. Hurricanes new owner will be announcing a major shake up next week. Cornwall are struggling on the field. But, they have crowds that most Northern teams would die for.
