For the early tries that built on the hard work in the middle and gave the platform for the win
1. Hodgson
2. Walshaw
And for the icing on the cake
3. McGowan

Hi Bill, I think if I remember correctly, that KN mentioned in his last video message that they had been fixed. Will try to find it and post it here.
Thank you DD.

Does anyone out there know if the floodlights have been fixed and whether the kick off for the Widnes home game is still likely to be 19.45 on the 8th May?
-
Thank you KTF. Just a couple of easy games then!

Do we know when the ban starts?

Will be a different team this weekend, no Hooley, no Manning. Will Linners move Bucko into the 2nd row, Kear inside to replace him? That leaves both wing spots to be re-filled. Is Leaky fit, Ward to get a game?
Leak out for up to three months apparently.

The first half mistakes where costly for us but for me the browny mistake in the second half which led to the try, God knows what he was thinking! Was a big one! We could have taken penalties, instead of having to go for tries, and possible snatched another 20-20 draw or better, that said the second half from our boys was outstanding!
You can never tell, but given our dominance in the second half it's likely that we would have won but for that silly moment.
I also agree with PMs comment that the laying on in that last twenty minutes was the worst that I had seen in many a game.
In the first half I was impressed by how ruthless Featherstone were when we gifted them opportunities. Their nos 9 and 7 ran the show for the first 30 minutes.
Thanks to both teams for an entertaining afternoon.

Thank you Bromley. It would seem that a try is missing on the twitter feed as spotted by Distantdog. Apologies Phil for duff info.

Try scorers for Batley are on the Bulldogs twitter site Phil. There are fourteen in total if I have totted up correctly thus presumably 12 goals. As far as I recall Meadows kicked throughout the game.

I stumbled across this interview with Josh Hodson from 6 days ago. It's worth a listen.

A very close call between Lillycrop and Flynn from me!

75mins of pure old fashioned rugby from our boys, they played the conditions perfectly, our completion rate must have been close to 90% Barrow just couldn't match our physicality thought all our big men reilly, kibula, brown, dominated the middle of the field, also thought the way linners rotated the subs was spot on, I don't think I've ever seen a game where the opposition have started at least 75% of there sets in their own 10/20 Mark, this game could have been a potential banana skin for us with all the disruption before the game, but to be fair we handled it spot ON, and a bit of praise to our near neighbours and all the people behind the scenes who helped to get the game on! WELL DONE.
I was also impressed with some of the kicking which was both long and accurate and helped to pin Barrow down. And credit to Barrow, well beaten on the night but never gave up.

Note, the game has been switched to the Rams Ground Owl Lane.

Looked an OK crowd yesterday, however I notice that no figure is given in today's League Express. Anyone know what it was?
Hope we haven't gone down the disappointing route taken by Batley and some other clubs of no longer giving out attendances. It's a very amateurish look.
You make a fair point that attendances figures should be more readily available. For what it's worth Batley's home attendances this season have apparently been 1,551 against Swinton and 1,624 against Keighley.

I can find it on the search engine Bromleybulldog, but it comes up as unavailable. A note on twitter telling fans that it is down or defunct or whatever would be useful.

Never said where he would play, just that 6 interchanges then had to do the work of 8.
The game was too tight to take Leak off Phildog. It was the right decision on the day. If Leak had flagged or been injured then Burton would have come on. It was good to see him on the bench though and I hope that he gets another chance.

The guy who might have stepped up and put some pep in, Flynny, wasn't picked, maybe a niggle. Browny obviously not back to Linners' level. Woods was innocuous, still waiting for him to appear out of the clouds, however neither White or Meadows shone either, hard to when your pack isn't providing, in fact those 2 probably tried too hard, out of their natural contribution. Nothing disguises the fact that we're not short on pace, we have none. We have a young lad who has pace twiddling his thumbs....Time now to bed in the likes of Milthorpe, Burton and Kibula for the future, if they don't play we'll never know will we. Just because we have all those players who made a final doesn't mean they're owed a spot. Might sound mean and ungrateful at our family club but change gas to come at any level.
I would just like to ask in genuine curiosity Phil, what team line up would you like to see tried against Keighley?

Well, I have seen Batley beat Hull KR away in the Cup. Hull KR were beaten finalists from the year before and second favourites to win the Cup. I just cannot see history repeating itself!
