  1. If it’s our man for the chop, then perhaps we should pinch Danny Maun from under your noses.
  2. “Mutual consent” to me, means the person is pushed out of the door with a wad of notes in his fist.
  3. That’s good, ‘cos I could never remember who the other two might have been.
  4. Nah, it was used to buy 5 useless Cas players.
  5. Then he missed a vital one-pointer into the bargain!
  6. From a wider Rugby League viewpoint and clearly more so from a local aspect, there is no call for that sort of language in any form. Such language from a player is worse and rightfully you should report the issue to the club. It’s not good for the club, or the game and, as a Dewsbury supporter, it saddens me that it is my club which is involved. I do hope your daughter can put the incident to one side and she continues to support our game and your club.
  7. Doubt you will be able to watch, other than being at the ground, but you have a choice of listening online: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/rugby-league/61058738 or https://tunein.com/radio/HWD-Hospital-Radio-s225548/
  8. The DR players we receive from HKR are one hit wonders (okay, so they are neither hits nor wonders) and Tate goes from playing for us to playing against us tomorrow, something I don’t understand. I didn’t know we were in a DR relationship with any other club, but according to the club website, North Wales Crusaders have taken Aaron Hall on DR, “to give him game time”. If we are short of forwards, wouldn’t it have been pertinent to allow him to have such time with our club?
  9. I reckon we will have another one-game DR player from HKR again this week; my guess is a second rower. Will Tate sided with us against Leigh, but I think he will oppose us this week. A game we must win, but we have only beaten them twice in the previous five clashes. Let’s hope we triumph on this outing. Dewsbury 25-18 Workington FTS: Sykes MoM: Speakman Att: a disillusioned 644
  10. I listened to the Cumbrian derby last night and it was a tight tussle for most of the game and I think it might be the same come Sunday. By the way, Will Tate, at centre, scored a try for Worky.
  11. So were Garratt and Reilly and had we been able to retain their services, then “might” would have changed to “most likely” for us to have seen a positive result.
  12. Been missing a full back for ages too.
  13. No shame at all. I wouldn’t want him.
  14. I reckon he means James Thornton, now at Oldham I believe.
  15. My forecasting is rubbish, but I will offer my two penn’orth. 1 Featherstone 2 Leigh 3 York 4 Halifax 5 Widnes 6 Bradford 7 Batley 8 Newcastle 9 Dewsbury 10 Whitehaven 11 Barrow 12 London 13 Sheffield 14 Workington From that, you could switch the pairs from 1 to 10 around, leaving the bottom four to sort themselves out because they seem the ones more likely to upset each other (and the odd one above).
