  1. Question:

What is the longest journey, by time or distance, any domestic (of any nation) has to travel for an away game?

For example, if Vladivostock has a team in Russia's top division, do they have to play St Petersburg?

I think in England it is Hartlepool/Torquay.

Yes, aside from the 3,000 official parking spaces there are no parking spaces at Wembley.

    An absolute disgrace.

Crud. Nobody should drive to Wembley,  it encourages drink driving, traffic congestion & pollution.

I used to have a neighbour who worked as a steward at all events, and I remember she told me tube was the best way, to & from on event days.

Two are coming down from EFL, two going up, and no relegation from National League meaning 22 will contest next season. Dover's position is uncertain,  they are still hoping to be in NL next season. The latest news is that they will have a 12 point penalty and £40,000 fine,  but won't get relegated.

How can Dover still be in NL when all their played games have been expunged, and they haven't played a game since before Christmas? Could Toronto Wolfpack make a similar claim>

If two ARE coming down from the EFL, and Southend and Grimsby win their appeal, who will go down then?

I agree mate, I would shake your hand but we aren't allowed to do that... how about an elbow touch instead?? 😜

Yeah, elbow touches, then our breathing surfaces are closer together, increasing the risks of cross infection.

  5. So Southend & Grimsby get relegated from the EFL, now they are threatening to sue somebody because of their uselesness, They are saying they shouldn't be relegated because no-one is being relegated from the National League. But as there is no-one being promoted from National League 1's and Dover Athletic is terminated, the National League will be reduced to 20 teams next year, 18 if they win their challenge, or even less if EFL promote the NL Champions & Play-off winners.

It's about choice. Boxers make the choice to do what they do, they know it's dangerous and have always known it's dangerous. Getting punched in the head and body has never been something that people thought was anything but dangerous. Being punch drunk is not a new phenomenon.

This is the fundamental difference with rugby, football and NFL sports like that. People getting involved in rugby didn't think that they might suffer from dementia if they took part. It's far harder for a boxer to make that argument.

There are many dangerous and risky jobs, boxing is one of them but people choose to do it and that's their right. And we have the right to enjoy it. It is exactly the mixture of skill and brutality that I find so interesting.

Boxers make a choice, so do Rugby players, and soccer players head injuries, talk to Ice Hockey players.
