Some excellent performances from the Valkyrie girls in yesterday’s 64-0 hammering of France. Tries for Renouf, Stanley, Dodd (2), Peach and eight goals from Stanley took the York haul of points to 36 points. These girls are on fire. Get along to see them in the double header on 7 May.

Valkyrie hammered Saints 26-6. Fantastic win.

Olly Butterworth is in our squad but has not played this season, yet. He picked up a long term injury in pre season last year and another shorter term injury just as he was approaching fitness. I think he has recovered now but just not been selected as yet.

Good question FK. Is it the intensity of the training/matches these days?

Should be an intriguing tie. Last time out West Bowling thumped Crosfields 66-8 so know their way to the try line. But there’s three divisions difference here so I don’t expect anything other than a healthy Knights win. Knights by 46

Have to say, I do like the away games, particularly when we take a healthy following. Turning away games into ‘home’ games with the level of support. Swinton is one of those within easy travelling distance so no excuses. Let’s make it loud, let’s make it York Knights.

Awful news for the lad.

Good to get a few players back tomorrow. I feel it’s one we must win. Should be a good game. Knights by 14.

Wigan were excellent but a 60-0 whitewash is not acceptable at this level. Could be a long season.

Thought the entertainment was first rate. The New York Brass band playing outside before adding to the atmosphere inside. The Light Show was great too. Oh, and the half time entertainment was a hoot as always. On top of all that the Knights defeated the Bulls 32-16, taking us up to fourth in the table. Good, solid disciplined performance. Hope Matty’s elbow isn’t too bad and he soon makes a recovery. Good crowd too. No announcement but I’d estimate around 3,406.
