I do, Barrow were a top side that season. Oh, and I won the HT draw at that game, £184 - happy days. Senior threw a subtle dummy on his run about 20 metres out which gave him the edge when he looked like he might get caught!

Spooky this Distantdog....was stood with Rob....guess who won it today too.....and it wasn't me !!

  2. Have to say, with the conditions on the pitch, down in the 9 oyl, and defenders gaining quick, that was a great great effort. It got me thinking....yes I do think sometimes......it reminded me of a try scored by Ash Lindsay from roughly the same spot, from back of a scrum, to the same corner, identical. Think it was against Barrow. Anyone else remember that 1.

Going to be another heavy pitch, not much time for Jim to work any magic, will be another midfield slog, we'll gave to get on top of their forwards again.

Jim ?? If you mean Jim Morley, it's been a long time since he was groundsman. Think it's a joint effort tween Andy Winner n Paul Harrison.

We already have a captain, vice-captain and a leadership team as far as l know. I really can't see what's to be gained for anyone to bring in a bloke who doesn't really know the club and team and make him captain!!

Spot on Distant. He's a good signing definitely, good age, well experienced, covers 2 spots. Well done the Club n Coach.

Yes it's on the Internet now that the London Broncos have signed him.

Oh dear I'd better knock him off the players Squad signed for 2024.

BISSA had better do the same, ay dear.

First draw tickets showing as 'sold out' as per website a minute ago. Great if true.

Phew....just got mine by sounds of it. Do you think they'll continue past the £1000?

Because DD there isn't much left design-wise that can be done with maroon/cerise IMO. I personally think the thick V is quite amateurish. Kit availability gets later and later, would there be time for a design to be objected to? We used to do a night in Ron's in November when new players were announced, the coach gave us a rundown on everybody and their numbered shirts for the season were presented. The now January night should also be held on site, I'd rather be putting my evening's money into making Kev's 'grandsworth of ale' drive! I posted on the Supporters' site an Aussie strip as an example if anyone's seen it.

Regards rhe "V" shirts, I seem to remember, back in the day, it being said.....The V pattern is a psychological image. It makes people wearing that type of patterned shirt, from chest to shoulders, much more physical,  broader etc. Just as hoops "can" make people appear wider. Not a fashion guru so I'll probably get shot down by some ...hey ho.

CASTLEFORD TIGERS have set their sights on a Batley Bulldogs star as their overhaul continues following a dismal Super League season. League Express understands that...

Wow, knock me down with a feather, don't need to pay £2 to read that. Been a discussion point for weeks ,on the terraces and coffee shops.

Regarding outs, remains and ins, I'm sorry to churn out the same old, but we have to refresh and improve, a number of players have given what they had and with the best will in the world can't give another year at the same level whilst around us other squads are raising their levels. Assuming that it's Donny who join The Rams coming up, even these 2 will be looking for strengthening, we have to exceed their result just to stay where we are. Even if it's as mentioned above (how is it that we have to glean info from across the valley?), even with the known retirees and movers we're still looking down the barrel of 6 new players, that doesn't happen at our place. Hope we're not just content with 'bobbing along'.

Just out of interest, who are the "known" retirees ??   Asking for a friend(s) .

  10. I'm not  usually a ref complainer but......York player had hands on White, who played the ball incorrectly because he couldn't stand up.

Scrum 10m from York line minutes to go. Ball held by foot back of Batley pack.  So ball not in play. York player goes from back of his own pack and is 3m away when we touch the ball out of scrum.  Ref there, linesman watching.

These " little errors" change games. I think Mr Griffiths was a bit biased.

Last 30 mins no penalties!!! That's very good by all the players.  In yer dreams Mr Griffiths.

Watch it back you'll see it.

Ps.  game image available from Bissa stall on Saturday

That for me is a rant🤣🤣

What would luke want to do if given the option. The timing couldn't be worse... I'm sure he had already given backwards to his sisters wedding this weekend for the opportunity to play Wembley with his old mates.

But he has also waited patiently at headingley and now through hook or crook been granted more opportunities.

When do super league sides do championship ones a solid? It's a results based scenario....

    Curveball being grix connection!

Either way I couldn't and wouldn't blame luke thinking of his own career progression

Just been sent a link to Yorkshire Post article that Rohan Smith confirms that Luke Hooley can play at Wembley.  Thats if he's picked.

Buy a Match Ticket then get a train from Leeds to Kings Cross. Jump on a Circle Line Tube to Baker Street then the Bakerloo Tube up to Wembley . When you get there , look at your Match ticket and it will tell you where to sit ! Simples !!!

OR ask RAC to give you a route map ( Batley to Wembley ) and drive there . Remember to fill your car with 3 mates making sure you charge them enough to cover the cost of petrol and the cost of your ticket and refreshments . This way, the day costs you nothing and you get to see Batley win !!!

Trains!!!!......Have you tried to catch one at the weekend recently? . But I like the post, got BISSA meeting on Tuesday, might take my A -Z. 😉😉

Really do we ? We have Hirst Gledhill Brown all to come back…

Our pack will be fine this weekend

Fair comment , but with respect, you have inside information, we comment on what we see, not what we know. If Linners knew that why was he asking  for recruitment via loans.

Been told Hooley was training with our boys last night I suspect he could be playing Sunday, only thing is mcgowan is doing an excellent job at fullback himself.

Tbh it's forwards we desperately need. I cannot understand why we haven't brought anyone in.
