  1. :D Got my dates mixed up, and I think I will go and see on the 30th. I suspected our land was involved, which is fine with me were lucky we have anybody interested in the present financial climate. As I have said before I trust the board to do what is right.
  2. Any news on the consultation day? Did anybody go?
  3. Same attitude as against fax and leigh and we should be in for a win, sicken them off in the first half and then finish them off in the second. A quick line in attack and defence, target the key men(thackary), pressure the kicker. Come on Rovers, where all behind you. Rovers 30 Widnes 16 Mom Manning
  4. Are you his dad? If so good to have your lad with us, he looks like a very good prospect and will hopefully make an impact in this league. Great start in the reserve match.
  5. I would love us to get the new ground, win the grand final, build a loyal crowd of 3000 and win a franchise and....... And then say no thanks, and let every one know our refusal is on moral grounds. Now I know this is not likely on many levels, not least the offer will never come. I would feel a hypocrite going up to super league, as things stand.
  6. I realise that about the road. It just seems to me all talk of a business park has stopped, and no other alternative suggested, which leave us with 5 million to find or finance to upgrade the ground so I admit putting two and two together and thinking that we must have sold or are selling some of the land. Like I said I trust the board and the people they have sought advice from to do the best thing for the club.
  7. I get the feeling the business park idea went west with the recesion. It sounds to me like we have or intend to sell a decent chunk of the land we have to taylor wimpy thus funding our ground revamp. As has already been stated we intend to build a community health centre on site aswell, which will give us some rent return and Im sure we will encorporate more facilities to extend both our hospitality business and our community programme, both of which give us valuable income already. The one thing Im sure of is that the board will make the decisions in the best interest of the club, and we are looking forward to exciting times.
  8. Time for Sherfie(excuse spelling) or Lynch to step up, guess we might go with spears at prop but i would like to see one of these two given a chance.
  9. As alot of you say get dp first and then get the rest of the squad signed up. But no harm in having a bit of fun and coming up with some players we we would llike. What about kyle amour on loan maybe, it must be better for Leeds having him based nearer to them. On similar note does anybody Know which members of the squad have contracts covering next season.
  10. Nice work mate, I had been using the squad picture but now using this. Nice and simple but effective.
  11. I your right Robin, which is probably why Millward has decided to concentrate on the NR Cup, with Fev, Halifax, and Barrow out of that competition he probably sees that as the best chance of ticking the box. To me he has rested players today, and put at team out that would simply make the Dogs work hard and if he got a win that would have been a bonus. I think we a freshened up team Leigh will be a different beast come Thursday. Also for what its worth, I agree that its Barrow we have to worry about in the league, thou hope fully our lighter fixture schedule will keep us fresh and on top.
  12. Scored 14 tries and kicked 11 penalties and 40 conversions in 14 matches fro carpentras Hight 1.86 Weight 97 kg
  13. Matt Thomason Decent ref in my view, not to pedantic.
  14. He used to be York captain, and they have him down as a consistant, grafter, with good defence and a decent passing game. I think he is the sort of player that will add well to the squad. Plenty of experience, a leader, decent size. Welcome to Fev Lee
  15. stand off lose forward from cas, acorrding to Wiki, club have him down as a centre winger.
  16. This type of match is what the club is all about, triumphing when nobody gives us a chance. de de - de de de - de de de - de ROVERS
  17. Im not sure we should write Danny Allan off just yet, Ultimately we may have to. He came with big wraps and surely he cant have turned poor overnight maybe their are things not right that we are dont know about lets hope the coach can work on him. Having said that it would be interesting to see Briggs at lose, though not sure he has the size.
  18. A big go forward prop with a top draw offload. Like Brendon Worth at toulouse.
  19. I think that is pretty good considering a fair few of them have been out wide, and am sure it must be an improvement on last year. Again well done
  20. I often wonder if players are working on weakness in there individual game and even if they have time to do so, with work commitments and team training. It is natural also to wonder if some players are motivated to do so or have had weakness identified. Which leads me to Kyle, it is obvious for all to see that his place kicking as improved dramatically and has been of great importance to the team, I dont think it is too far fetched to say we may have dropped a few more points than we have had it not been for kyle's boot. I wonder if anybody has any stats on his kicking, attempts to success ratio and how they compare to last years figures. Either way it is testimony to the lad that he has improved and has been willing to. For what its worth I think he has been just as key as Liam this year, his cut our passes have been sublime and he also has a nose for the line. And he is still young and improving.
  21. Yeah but Govin is injured most of the time.
  22. Agree with much of that. Welham runs great lines which makes defenders make difficult choices, and we have looked more dangerous going forward when he has been in the team.
